Steel Tongue Drum - small

A steel tongue drum is a round hollow body made of steel. There are oscillating cut outs (tongues) on the surface, which are tonally coordinated (scale system) and whose sound is amplified by the sound box. The drums are very melodic and are known for their relaxing sounds and lightness of play, which does not require any special technique. The steel tongues can be played with the hands or with padded beaters (included). Playing with your hands produces a smooth, calming, pleasantly vibrating sound. Playing with the beaters improves the sound and resonance and lets the individual tones hang beautifully. A steel body that is not too high with cut out tongues is worked by hand so that each reed gets its special, right tone. The drums can be played while sitting or standing when placed on a table or a suitable surface. Larger children and the elderly can also place and play drums on their thighs while sitting.
